Born in Liberia, Patrick became a reluctant two-time valedictorian while navigating civil war, displacement, refugee life, and a lifelong stutter. He later became an award-winning speaker without first eliminating the condition that once made him avoid the stage.
In 2015, Patrick reached the Toastmasters District 6 International Speech Contest final—one win from becoming one of 96 contestants who advanced to the World Championship of Public Speaking Semifinals, from approximately 30,000 entrants worldwide.
The same pattern appeared throughout his 18+ years of enterprise work across systems, cybersecurity, process transformation, governance, AI strategy, and organizational change: the thing everyone can see is not always the thing carrying the result.
That insight became Human Calibration—a practical way to ask:
