Choose one of these 3 link styles for your directory 

Use the default link

The default link requires no additional setup on your part and is ready as soon as your account setup has been completed by eSpeakers.  

Default Marketplace URL 

Use this method when: you don't need to have your own domain name in the address bar, or you want something to link to immediately after your directory is set up. 

You'll be issued a unique code, usually 3-5 characters when your account setup has been completed. Your default link is: 

https://espeakers.com/s/xxxx (where xxxx is your unique code) 

This is the URL that will be displayed in the address bar of the visitor's browser throughout their session in the directory. 

Use a custom domain name via redirect

Visitor sees this once they arrive 

Using this style of link, you'll have a custom subdomain or specific text after your main domain name, that will bring visitors to your Marketplace directory. Once the visitor arrives at the directory, the URL they see in their address bar is your default link https://espeakers.com/s/xxxx . 

Examples: 

Because this method uses redirection, the sky's the limit, and it's always under your direct control. You do not need to coordinate with eSpeakers when you do this, or when you make changes. 

To use a subdomain via redirect: 

1. set up the new entry for your subdomain (ie  speakers.directoryco.com ), in your DNS service and set it to redirect to your Marketplace default URL (ie, espeakers.com/s/xxxx).  or
   
2. Use a path on you main domain ( www.directoryco.com/our_speakers ) configured with your CMS (Wordpress, etc) or your server configuration to forward any URL you'd like to your Marketplace default URL (ie,  espeakers.com/s/xxxx ).
   

Use a custom domain name via dedicated load balancer

This section uses technical language and is intended for professional webmasters.

Visitor sees this once they arrive 

Using this style of link, you'll have a custom subdomain that will bring visitors to your Marketplace directory. Once the visitor arrives at the directory, the URL they see in their address bar remains your subdomain throughout their experience. 

Examples: 

speakers.directoryco.com

To use a subdomain with the dedicated load balancer: 

1. Contact support@espeakers.com about setup and pricing 
   
1. There is an additional cost for the custom domain name via dedicated load balancer of $1,000 USD / year (this price may change).  
   
2. eSpeakers provisions and maintains a dedicated load balancer and SSL certificate just for your traffic. Please allow two weeks for this setup to be complete. 
   

2. Once your dedicated load balancer is provisioned, you will be provided with an IP address (both IPv4 and IPv6).
   
1. In your DNS manager, create a new A RECORD for your custom domain name and point it to the IP address provided. 
   

3. Your directory pages will be served over a secure HTTPS connection. We will generate an SSL certificate to use on your directory, which will be at our expense but will require a one-time DNS update from you to validate.
